3 Ways to Release Pain in Your Body
Whether you have dealt with chronic pain for years or even if you have sporadic moments where you feel some discomfort, there are some tips and remedies that I have introduced into my routine that can bring relief.
Since everyone’s environment, gene makeup, and tolerance is different, there can be modifications to this list, of course, however; this is to help you get started and see what works best for you. We all have to begin somewhere, so why not do it together!
Here are 3 ways to reduce pain throughout your body:
- GET YOUR BODY MOVING WITH PURPOSE
+ Gentle movements that improve your flexibility and reduce stiffness such as stretching, swimming, yoga, or even walking around the block can help strengthen the joints and release endorphins to alleviate pain and pressure. Practicing breathing techniques along with simple exercises can relax the body and mind, relieving the brain from working hard to reduce the pain. - APPLYING HEAT
+ Adding a heating element, whether that includes soaking in a warm bath or applying a heating pad directly, can aid in soothing discomfort by improving circulation. Heat therapy can help loosen up the muscles and get rid of any stiffness that may occur. This in return can prevent muscle spasms, reduce inflammation, and increase the flow of oxygen. - USING SPECIFIC OILS
+ Getting affiliated with holistic medicine and different topical treatments that contain natural ingredients has truly transformed the way I cure my body. Incorporating herbs and essential oils that contain anti-inflammatory properties can provide relief without having to take a steroidal form of medicine. Using variations of either peppermint oil, mustard oil, or rosehip oil can help manage the pain through the antioxidant benefits found in each. There are compounds present, such as anthocyanins found in rosehip oil, known to reduce swelling, build up the immune system, and reduce stress.
