It’s always exciting when I am getting ready for a new adventure, near or far, but I have found that what you do after travel is just as important.
Here is my 6-step, post travel routine that has shown to bring me joy, recenter my mind and body, as well as reset social and personal rhythm.
To not be haunted by my clothes weeks after I arrive back home from my trip, I get right into my laundry at my earliest availability. This helps clear my suitcase and give me peace of mind that there is one less responsibility to worry about. It also completes my trip since I started with packing, and ended with unpacking.
While on vacation, living in the moment and enjoying the time that I am given is my main goal. This can mean that daily supplements or nutritional habits are left behind, so getting back into my healthy habits is a must when I come back from vacation.
To avoid going back to vacation eating habits, a grocery store visit is a must. I like to use this trip as a reminder of what my body needs and the home cooked meals I love.
I have a true love for pilates and to move my body in general. To remind myself of this, I get my mat, iPad, and favorite athleisure to join an online pilates class in a place that makes me feel happy and myself.
Whenever I travel, hydration can be neglected when fun in a new place becomes more important. Adding water back into my routine and moisturizers back on my skin helps me revitalize myself once I’m back home.
Never underestimate the power of sleep. As much as I may have slept during my trip, traveling, activities, and time change can take away from the sleep I need. I make sure to use healthy supplements like Pique Tea and Highline Wellness Sleep Serum to help me get back into a restful sleep for my regular day-to-day activities.
Sharing positive energy can feel just as good as receiving it. As a Libra, I like to share experiences and socialize with the ones I care about and the ones that care about me as well.
