How to Create Your Own Moon Ritual
With each shift in moon phase, there is a rise and fall of water around us, and energy within us. Being that we are made of mostly water, the moon can create a change in our mind, body, and overall energy level. Create a practice to harness the energy the moon gives to you every month with these six steps.
1. Safe Environment
In order to prepare for the welcoming of the moon’s energy, you must find, or create, an environment that will embrace this appointed energy. Sit on the grass of your favorite park, find space in your bedroom, or seek out areas that are meant for meditation. Develop a safe environment that will help you embrace the moon energy.
2. Reconnect with Nature
There is peace of mind found when we reconnect with nature. Whether it’s when you hike, visit a beach, or just sit outside, taking a pause to hear what nature is trying to say will help you embrace what nature is also trying to give. We see the moon communicate with nature, during a moon phase prepare to hear what it is trying to say.
3. Find Direction
During a moon phase, especially a new moon phase, look into what is currently guiding you. See if the guidance is what you want, as well as need. In your moon ritual, add mantras to your activity list to define the energy you are welcoming. Find inspirational mantras, or look within to create your own. The mantras will help focus the mind on what you desire, and deserve, while you absorb the energy of the moon.
No matter what moon ritual you create, be sure to include a journal session before or after your activities. Journal your gratitude, mantras, manifestations, and general feelings during this moon phase. The act of journaling has proved to be a powerful health tool, and its strength can be heightened during a moon phase.
