The Ultimate Wellness Studio to Recharge Your Mind, Body, and Soul
For those days you need a little extra self-care, a visit to Pause Studio is sure to leave you feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.
I had the pleasure of visiting the West Hollywood, CA location to treat myself to a much needed wellness day and experienced a few of their key wellness services including: a hot & cold contrast therapy of an infrared sauna + cold plunge and flotation therapy floating in a pod of 1,000 pounds of healing Epsom salts.
When I first walked in, I was greeted by friendly staff that walked me through the studio and services I was about to experience. The one thing that impressed me the most was the amount of privacy you get for each of the wellness services. For the Contrast Therapy, you literally have your own room to yourself with a sauna, cold plunge bath, and a shower with Le Labo products.
Idk about you guys, but I feel like stretching in an infrared sauna just hits different. Your heart rate rises, you feel the heat all the way in your core, and you literally feel your body detoxifying all the unwanted toxins leaving you feeling lighter in spirit. It’s seriously one of the most invigorating feelings.

I am not a fan of being cold at all so I was extremely hesitant to plunge into 60-degree water but I really wanted to try it because of all the amazing benefits. Once I finally got the courage to get in, I lasted a full second (lol).
It’s recommended to stay in the sauna for 9 minutes, plunge in the cold water for three minutes, then repeat for a 60-minute session, but I think my little dip was a win for me and called it a day. Maybe my next visit I’ll be able to challenge myself to stay in for longer – we’ll see 🙂

This was probably my favorite service to experience at Pause. You get in this huge pod of body-temperature water infused with 1,000 pounds of Epsom salt and just float for 60 minutes with calming music playing in the background.
As someone who is almost never is alone, still trying to find balance, and has a million things on my to-do list, this situation really forces you to let go and just be. It’s just you floating in water. I closed my eyes the entire time and just focused on my breathing.
TBH I think I was half-asleep the entire time because the time passed by so quickly, but when I got up I felt so calm and relaxed.
I’m so glad that I made time for myself to come to Pause because it really made an impact on my mood that carried throughout the next few days. I definitely want to make it a ritual to treat myself to wellness days like these!
If you guys have a chance to visit, I highly recommend it because it’s worth experiencing! Remember that you deserve to take a break and can make time for yourself. You won’t regret it!
